Bocadillo Market, a Spanish inspired concept is led by chef and first time owner James Martin – a Washington, DC native who first came to Chicago in 2008 to work at North Pond and returned to Chicago four years ago after time at places like New York’s Jean-Georges, and DC’s Bourbon Steak, Vidalia, and Restaurant Nora.

A cafe and market during the day and table-service restaurant at night, Bocadillo Market brings flavors from Spain to Chicago through traditional and fresh takes on the bocadillo and family-style dishes:

  • The daytime bocadillo menu features a traditional Jamon Serrano with Mahon Cheese option, along with Eggplant, Spanish Chorizo, Crispy Calamari, and Smoked Lamb takes on the Spanish snack sandwich.

  • Diners in the evening will see traditional dishes like a paella (currently featuring a Cadiz Tuna & Squid Ink Paella), along with a Lamb Rice dish, and a range of shareable plates including a Spanish Vegetable Pisto, Clams and Hake, Foie Gras on Spanish French Toast, Tuna Crudo, and an Artichoke Gnocchi Dish.
