Prairie Grass Cafe, located at 601 Skokie Blvd. in Northbrook, will host a Pre-Valentine’s Day Wine Tasting on Thursday, February 13, at 5:00 PM. The event, led by Sommelier Pierre Lasserre, will feature a curated selection of wines paired with small-bite canapés, including Oyster Rockefeller, Deviled Eggs with Caviar, Smoked Salmon Tartare on Toasted Brioche, and Wagyu Flatiron Bite with Truffle Aioli and Potato. The tasting will take place around the restaurant’s bar.
Prairie Grass Cafe will feature a range of menu items for Valentine’s week dining, available for both dine-in and takeout. Guests can choose from salads, including the Steakhouse Wedge Salad made with tomato, red onion, hard-boiled farmers’ egg wedges, crispy local bacon, and homemade Thousand Island dressing, or the Creamy Sexy Blue Cheese Wedge Salad featuring blue cheese dressing, crumbled blue cheese, and black mission fig jam.
The Prairie Prime Cuts menu offers steaks served with red wine sauce and shallot-herb butter. Selections include Wagyu Flat Iron Steak, Bone-In Ribeye, Filet of Beef, Ribeye Cap, and New York Strip. Guests can also enhance their meal with a blue cheese topping.
Sides such as Twice Baked Potato with cheddar, scallion, and bacon, Creamed Spinach, and Sautéed Mushrooms are available to complement the main dishes.
