Apogee Lounge in River North is hosting Kentucky Derby revelry 26 stories above it all. On Saturday, May 5 from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m., the lounge atop dana hotel and spa hosts a “high stakes” afternoon affair celebrating the derby. The afternoon viewing party features both inventive and classic sips, city views, and luxe box suites.
Tickets to the event include two specialty drinks from the spot’s bar selection featuring Stella Artois, Bulleit Bourbon Mint Juleps, and Ketel One Vodka Cocktails including Apogee’s famous Nymph cocktail. Special bottles of Champagne, rosé, and an assortment of top shelf spirits will also be available to keep the afternoon lively. Each ticket includes six betting tokens for prizes and games throughout the day. Box suites are also available to purchase for groups taking in all of the derby day excitement together.
General admission tickets can be purchased for $15 per person, and Table Box Suites are available from $140 - $300 depending on group size.
Guests should arrive donning their most stylish and eye-catching derby fashions as prizes are awarded for best hat, best dressed, and a “winner takes all” grand prize, announced after conclusion of the race.
