Craft Cocktails Prix Fixe Mexican River North

Cantina Laredo in River North will hold a Casamigos tequila dinner on Saturday, September 16 (Mexican Independence Day). The event will begin with a cocktail reception at 7 p.m., followed by a four course dinner served at 7:30 p.m. Participating guests will learn the history of Casamigos tequila, sip a variety of neat pours and enjoy modern Mexican dishes paired with Latin libations.

Chef Cruz Almanza's menu includes shrimp and chorizo hurache, cranberry salad, choice of entree (grouper; peppercorn filet) and lemon blueberry cake. Each course will be paired with a Casamigos tequila cocktail. The complete menu is outlined below. 

Cantina Laredo’s tequila dinner is $59.99 per person (plus tax and gratuity). 

Casamigos Tequila Dinner

First Course

Huarache de Camaron y Chorizo  Cocktail pairing: Cosmolito Casamigos Silver, Grand Marnier, fresh lime juice, simple syrup and cranberry juice

Second Course

Cranberry Salad 

Cocktail pairing: Mandarin Margarita Casamigos Anejo muddled with mandarin oranges, agave nectar, orange and lime juice, splash of Cholula

Third Course

choice of:

Grouper topped with alcachofas vino blanco sauce, served with cilantro lime rice and sweet peas

Peppercorn filet served with green beans and potato confit

Casamigos Silver, margarita mix, fresh lemon juice, topped with Sprite

Fourth Course Lemon Blueberry Cake

Cocktail pairing: Green Apple Sangria Casamigos Reposado, sour apple schnapps, orange and apple juice with margarita mix, topped with ginger beer
