In honor of 10 successful years of business, Caffè RōM, invites guests to celebrate their anniversary with a yearlong schedule of events. The European-style caffé and Italian-inspired coffee bar has three downtown locations (in the Hyatt Center, in the Prudential Building, and at The Shoreham) that will feature an anniversary party, contests and giveaways, seasonal specials and more.
To commemorate a decade of exceptional dining and coffee service, on Wednesday, May 27, Caffè RōM will host an anniversary party at all locations from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. featuring a complimentary cup of the 10-year anniversary limited edition "Dieci Anni" coffee blend for all patrons. 12-ounce bags will also be available to purchase for $10.95 each beginning May 27. Complimentary anniversary cake will be passed out, created by bakers Axel and Ambrose Erkenswick who consult on all the house made pastries and bread at Caffè RōM.
Additional festivities at all locations on Wednesday, May 27, will include raffles for a chance to win free breakfast or lunch catering for 10. Specifically, the Prudential and Hyatt Center locations will raffle off gift bags that include an anniversary edition Timbuk2 messenger bag and gift cards. Caffè RōM will also hold a #10YearsOfRoM Instagram photo contest in which guests are invited to hashtag their favorite memories and photos of their RōM-an experiences. The winning photo will be chosen in August and receive an anniversary edition RōM logo Timbuk2 bag.
Guests can enjoy an affogato special in June.
CALENDAR OF ANNIVERSARY PROMOTIONS:
JUNE
Monday, June 1 through Friday, July 3 Guests who stop in after 2 p.m. and order any gelato can upgrade to an affogato (espresso over gelato) for free.
JULY
Monday, July 6 through Sunday, August 9 Seasonal drink special: Iced Whipped Cappuccino Freddo
Commencing Monday, July 13 (Prudential location only) Weekly live music events during the lunch hour. The lineup of artists will include Abbi Rajasekar and Brandon Cunningham.
AUGUST
Commencing Saturday, August 15 In celebration of the Ferragosto holiday in Italy, Caffè RōM will feature two special granitas: Sicilian Lemon and Blood Orange.
SEPTEMBER
In September, Caffè RōM will begin offering a Chicago anniversary edition JoJo Special Sandwich (locally cured prosciutto, locally grown CSI tomatoes and basil, naturally leavened bread baked by the Erkenswick brothers and locally sourced mozzarella).
