Burrito Beach embraces its culinary side by joining the Chicago dining community for James Beard Eats Week, offering limited time only Duck Confit Tacos. Now through through May 2, restaurants across the city celebrate James Beard and Chicago’s culinary scene with a week of exclusive menus and dishes inspired by James Beard’s American Classic recipes. The Chicago-based Burrito Beach joins in on the festivities surrounding the James Beard Awards returning May 2 by honoring the “Dean of American cookery” in their own way – with a high end twist on fast casual Mexican fare.

Inspired by Beard’s classic Duck à l’Orange, Burrito Beach serves up homemade Duck Confit Tacos with carnitas-style hand pulled duck, braised for three hours in Mexican spices and freshly squeezed organic orange juice. Served on warm, soft, locally made corn tortillas and topped with salsa verde, marinated shredded cabbage, and pickled red onions.

The Duck Confit Tacos are available at each of Burrito Beach’s downtown locations during James Beard Eats Week. $7.99 includes two Duck Confit Tacos, Chips, and Salsa.
