Memorial Day is around the corner and to most Chicagoans, it signifies the start of BBQ season – and you can’t have a BBQ without bread! Hewn Bakery in Evanston is baking up a selection of homemade buns - hot dog and burger – for that backyard BBQ over the three-day holiday weekend.
Pre-orders are available by emailing hewnorders@gmail.com and while the Evanston bakery is closed on Memorial Day, grillers can prepare by picking up their reserved buns on Friday, or by noon on Saturday or Sunday.
