Monroe Reserve, a new space connected to South Branch Tavern & Grille, is opening this week. Located at 100 S. Wacker, Monroe Reserve is a private events space AND restaurant open to the public. 

Holding gatherings of 25-40 guests, this 650 square foot space is now open and available to book. Additionally, when the space isn’t booked for a private event, it’s open to guests Wednesday-Fridays from 3-8 p.m., with an all-new menu created especially for Monroe Reserve diners.

Features of Monroe Reserve include:

  • A rustic-chic atmosphere adorned with dark wood, stone and rich leather furnishing that are complemented by warm accent lighting. 
  • The new menu offers  bites and crafted cocktails daily, with shareable and items that also make customizing a spread for your next private. Items include:
    • Charcuterie Boards with the chef’s selection of assorted meats and cheese, baby artichokes, olives, pepperoncini, toasted almonds, candied pecans, flavored mustards, apple mostarda, and grilled ciabatta bread
    • Bacon Flight with a choice of preparation, including candied, pecan praline, maple peppercorn, or jalapeño brown sugar
    • Spicy Lobster Martini with sweet and spicy chili aioli, scallions, and crispy wonton chips
  • The beverage program features:
    • Selectwineson tap, or by the glass/bottle
    • A whisky list
    • Top-shelf spirits
    • Classic cocktails like the Old Fashioned, Negroni, and Paloma
    • A rotating handle of Bourbon County Stout from Goose Island Brewery, and an selection of Craft Beer offered in 6 oz tasters, full pints, or in customizable flights 
  • A horseshoe bar is the focal point of the space, accented by stone columns and bar seating for 17. 
  • Floor-to-ceiling frosted windows encase the room along the building’s Monroe Street side.
  • Whiskey-centric photography line the turquoise walls on the room’s other sides.
  • A drink rail wraps the room, offering additional space for 20 guests.
  • 60” flat-screen HDTV with HDMI and Airplay connectivity.
