Big Shoulders Coffee is conducting their first-ever roaster’s workshop on February 29th. The workshop features Chicagoland roasters like Adam Paronto from Reprise Coffee and Danny Faloon of Botz Coffee, who alongside Big Shoulders founder Tim Coonan, will plan a complete coffee roast within 10 minutes after interpreting a batch of coffee, and each will cup their own roast.
The trio will score their cupping by SCA protocols, and the best coffee profile will be sold through Big Shoulders channels and stores. Part of sales raised through the workshop will be donated to Pilsen Food Pantry. The workshop is part of their new recurring series at Big Shoulders, and winners will move on to the next month’s workshop and competition.
