'Cocktails and Dreams' Halloween at MONEYGUN
MONEYGUN, the West Loop bar is getting in costume this Halloween in tribute to the Tom Cruise ‘80s movie "Cocktail". In MONEYGUN fashion from October 26th to the 31st, the bar will embrace Doug Coughlin’s diet, cocktails and dreams, in honor of the holiday, dressing up as Flanagan’s Cocktails & Dreams. Guests can channel their inner Brian Flanagan with the iconic ‘Cocktails & Dreams’ neon sign, plenty of flair, tropical drinks and of course, Coughlin’s Law. In the words of Coughlin himself, “Drink or be gone” at MONEYGUN this Halloween and if you stick around long enough, you might even get to hear the Last Barman’s Poem.

Holiday Punch Class at Punch House
The holidays are right around the corner. This season, make sure your entertaining game is on point and sharpen your cocktail-mixing skills at Punch House’s educational Holiday Punch Class on November 10th. Join Punch House partner Will Duncan and Beverage Director Rob Boyd for the hands-on course from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. as they educate participants on the history and principles of punch-making while demonstrating how to create a delicious batch of party-ready of Brugal Rum punch.
Tickets can be purchased for $36 and include two glasses of punch.

Movies, Goat Roast and Thanksgiving at Saint Lou's Assembly
As the weather turns colder, what’s better than cozying up inside and putting on a good movie? Forget Netflix and chill and head to Saint Lou’s Assembly on the first Monday of every month for Lou 'N View, a new monthly movie series in which a guest bartender is invited to select a film of their choice to be screened on the enclosed back patio. The featured bartender of the month will create an original themed cocktail to pair with the movie and attendees will be treated to popcorn and other snacks. The fun kicks off on November 5th at 8 p.m. as Saint Lou’s welcomes the United States Bartenders’ Guild Director of Recruitment, Luke Gavin, and presents the dystopian political thriller, V for Vendetta.
Saint Lou’s Assembly is teaming up with Highland Park Whisky and River North haunt, Good Measure Chicago for a pre-hibernation goat roast on November 8th from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m.. Head to Lake Street to feast on whole roasted goats carefully carved and assembled into a collaborative dish by Saint Lou’s Chef David Wang and Chef Matt Troost of Good Measure Chicago. Tickets are available for $20 and include a meal of goat meat, a choice of two sides and two Highland Park Magnus cocktails to warm your blood.

Whiner Beer Pop-up at Revival Food Hall
Another month, another pop-up at Revival Food Hall as Whiner Beer sets up shop on Friday, November 2nd from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. The local brewery will move operations from the Back of the Yards neighborhood to the Loop for a one-night-only, beer-focused First Friday. After purchasing a Whiner beer on draft at Revival Cafe-Bar, guests are invited to stop by the pop-up space to receive free samples of the brewery’s barrel-aged brews.

Music and Thanksgiving To-Go at The Promontory
Head to Hyde Park this fall for an evening of listening and libations as neighborhood restaurant, bar and music venue, The Promontory, rolls out its new Cocktails & Concerts Series. On the third Tuesday of every month from 9 p.m. to midnight, snag a seat at the bar as The Promontory screens a concert movie with full sound while the bar team creates a cocktail inspired by the film. The cinematic series gets underway on November 20th, with Fela Kuti and Africa 70, live in Berlin from 1978. No need to purchase tickets, just come on in and enjoy the show and spirits.

Prepare to get down and dirty this winter as The Ruin Daily, Chicago’s all-day boozy deli, transforms itself into a good old-fashioned dive during its monthly Dive Bar Night. From 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month, belly up to the bar and get ready for a no-frills time as the funky sandwich shop fires up the neon signs and busts out the bar snacks in true Chicago tavern style.
