Wine Mediterranean Roscoe Village

Le Sud is set to celebrate Beaujolais Day. On Thursday, November 21, the Roscoe Village restaurant will hold a wine tasting event led by sommelier Scott Domer. Starting at 7 p.m., guests will sip and swirl four different Beaujolais selections paired with hors d'oeuvres by chef William Lara.

The fee to participate is $59.99 per person, which includes a bottle of Beaujolais Nouveau to take home, along with tasting notes and food pairing recommendations.

Beaujolais Nouveau Day, celebrated the third Thursday in November, highlights French wine released just weeks after the hand-picked grapes have been harvested. France celebrates the occasion with fireworks, music and festivals. Nouveau's whole-berry fermentation results in a young, red wine known for its light, fruity and fresh characteristics.
