Chef Michael Mina's Margeaux Brasserie and Waldorf Astoria Chicago will be hosting their second annual Bastille Day Courtyard Celebration on Sunday, July 14 from 3-6pm.
Taking place on the hotel's 6,000-square-foot Parisian courtyard, the afternoon fête will feature a live band, French-inspired fare and beverages aplenty. A handful of Chicago chefs will also be in attendance, serving their own twists on some classic French cocktails.
Guests will be presented interactive tasting stations led by Chef Michael Mina and Chef de Cuisine Greg Biggers featuring:
-Boudin Blanc Baguettes
-Bouillabaisse Brochettes
-Ham and Gruyere Croissants
-Nicoise Salad, Crepes
-Oysters
Drink: French cocktails by Chicago chefs, in addition to:
-Mobile wine bike
-Kegway with exclusively brewed Moody Tongue Margeaux Bastille Day Beer
-Saber Olympics (hosted by Henriot)
Entertainment: Friendly for all ages activities such as a balloon artist, face painter, cotton candy machine and ice cream station
Price: Tickets are $25 per person and include one Bastille Day Coin. Each food and beverage item inside the event costs one coin. Additional coins can be purchased throughout the event for $5 each.
