Atomic Hospitality has opened their newest concept, Tetto Chicago, at 406 N Sangamon Street. Drawing inspiration from the rooftop bars of Italy, Tetto (or “roof” in Italian) features an Italian inspired cocktail program and city views.
Tetto’s cocktail program, curated by long-time Atomic Beverage Manager Alec Pignotti, is a homage to Italian “classics', with a Tetto twist. Cocktails such as the Colazione (Breakfast), Tetto’s take on an Espresso martini with Grey Goose Vodka, Coffee Liqueur, Cold Brew Coffee, and Parmesan cheese. Tetto will also feature the Olio Acido (Sour Olive) made with Three Olives Vodka, Lemon, Extra Virgin Olive Oil - as well as the Frutta Piccante (Spicy Fruit) made with Gran Centenario Blanco Tequila, Habanero, Grapefruit, Lime, Calabrian Chiles, and Honey, with many of the cocktails employing Italian ingredients in new ways. For those looking for Italian summer sips, Pignotti has also designed versions of the negroni and spritz, along with a collection of Italian amari, beers, wines, and large format cocktails.
In regards to food, Tetto features a menu by Professor Pizza. Founded by pizzaiolos, Tony Scardino, Professor Pizza is a family-owned restaurant group that offers twists on classic pizza. The partnership with Atomic Hospitality marks an expansion for Professor Pizza since opening a delivery and carry-out location in Humboldt Park in 2022.
Scardino has trained with 13-time World Pizza Champion Tony Gemignani and has worked in kitchens like Publican Quality Meats, Au Cheval, Formento's and more. Professor Pizza slings Grandma, Sicilian and New York pies, all of which will be offered on the rooftop this summer. In addition to his pizzas, Tony and team will also be serving up shareable small plates, salads, and more. Desserts will also be offered courtesy of Pretty Cool Ice Cream.
In addition to food and beverage offerings, Tetto will host a variety of special public and private events throughout the summer, along with live DJs and dancing on the weekends. The newly remodeled 8000 square foot space will offer table and bar seats, as well as cabanas that can be reserved for private parties, bottle service, and more.
