Oak Park’s Amerikas will be celebrating seven years in business on December 1st, and the team is welcoming in guests to say thank you in a big way.
For seven days, beginning Monday, November 25th, Amerikas will be offering 20% off dine-in bills, leading up to December 1st. Then on Sunday, December 1st, Amerikas will host a celebration that includes a live DJ from 3:00pm - 8:00pm.
Chef and owner Armando Gonzalez, who recently opened Ceiba in Lincoln Park, is wanting to thank regular diners for their support over the past seven years, while also catching the attention of those who have never been in to try Amerikas.
The menu at Amerikas is made up of dishes like the Barbacoa lamb shank braised with guajillo and ancho peppers, avocado leaves, mushroom risotto, and pistachios, and Pulpo Spanish octopus served with fingerling potatoes, chorizo, Mexican onions, cherry tomatoes, and garbanzos, all in a lemon vinaigrette. There are also plenty of vegetarian options, like the Calabaza roasted acorn squash with wild mushroom risotto and chile de arbol/truffle butter.
Alongside dinner, guests can enjoy craft cocktails, such as the Ancestral Old Fashion made with Amerikas smoked mezcal, demerara, aromatic bitters, and orange bitters, along with an extensive menu of mezcal and tequilas, beer, and wine.
Amerikas is open Tuesday through Thursday from 9:00am - 2:30pm and 4:00pm - 9:30pm, Friday and Saturday from 9:00am - 2:30pm and 4:00pm - 10:00pm, Sunday from 9:00am - 2:30pm and 4:00pm - 8:00pm, and Monday from 9:00am - 2:30pm.
