The judging panel, will crown the winning chef, who will win a $2,000 donation for their charity. In addition, guests can vote on their favorite pizza for the “People’s Choice” award, which will win $1,500, and the runners-up will receive a $500 donation for their chosen cause.
Steve Dolinsky, Chicago journalist, will be returning to host the cook off for the second time. The competition will be hosted outdoors at Abt’s parking lot and will be open to the public. Guests will be provided samples of each chef’s pizza and can expect lawn games, music and raffle prizes. The Grand Prize will be a pizza package from Ooni, featuring their Koda 2 Max oven with cover, pizza peel and an infrared digital thermometer.
