Spice up your Valentine's Day dinner date this year with Cantina Laredo's modern Mexican cuisine and cocktails. The River North restaurant will offer a three course Valentine's prix fixe menu from February 12 to February 14 ($35 per person). Chef Kennon Reed's selections, outlined below, include mango salad, creamy chicken vegetable soup, sauteed shrimp with spicy mango mole, ancho chile-rubbed chicken, filet mignon, strawberry bunuelos and churros. Cocktail pairings (Aphrodite Margarita; Heart Warmer) may be added for an additional $15 per person.

Cantina Laredo's Aphrodite Margarita may be enjoyed a la carte for a limited time. The libation features 1800 Reposado tequila and Solerno blood orange liqueur with passion fruit and pomegranate, served straight up ($12; photo available).

7 oz. Certified Angus Beef filet mignon topped with black peppercorn dijon sauce
